Setting up your Nixplay frame

Setting up your new frame is quick and simple. Ensure you have the following before starting:

Your Nixplay frame and original power cable.
A smartphone or tablet with the free Nixplay App installed.
A reliable Wi-Fi internet connection and password.

Step 1: Assemble your stand

Unbox your frame and stand components.
Slide the stand arm and stand base together to form a sturdy stand.

Step 2: Power up your frame

Place your frame face-down on a soft, flat surface.
Slide the back plate downward to remove it.
Insert the power cord firmly into the designated port behind the frame.
Align the notches on the back plate with the holes on the frame and slide it upward until it locks back into place. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.

NOTE
Once the cable is connected, rest the frame on the stand's lip and gently lean it back, a mechanism designed to let you easily switch between landscape and portrait views.

Step 3: Connect to Wi-Fi

Follow the on-screen prompts on your frame to select your language and local Wi-Fi network.
Use the on-screen keyboard (for Touch models) or the physical remote control (for Remote models) to enter your wireless password, then select Connect.

NOTE
Once connected to Wi-Fi, your frame will automatically check for the latest software updates. You might need to reconnect to the Wi-Fi when the updates finish. Please refer to this article if you encounter any Wi-Fi connection issues.

Step 4: Create a new Nixplay account

Download the Nixplay mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play. Select"Create account," and fill in your details like your name, email, password, and a unique username. Alternatively, if you prefer using your computer, just head over to app.nixplay.com and enter your name, email, and username there.

NOTE
Whichever path you choose, remember that your special username becomes the unique email address (username@mynixplay.com) that you and your loved ones can use to send photos directly to your frame.

Step 5: Pair frame and account

If you set up the frame for yourself, just choose ‘I don’t have a gift code’ and lLocate the unique 16-digit serial number displayed on your frame screen.

Enter this 16-digit number in the mobile or web app under "Add a Frame".

NOTE
If your frame is gifted with preloaded content, choose ‘I have a gift code’ and enter the 8-character gift code and email address on the frame. A gift code is formatted as 3 letters followed by 5 numbers, provided by a sender to redeem pre-loaded gifted content. Please refer to this article for gift setup and redeem.
